If you didn’t book Box Braids Removal appointment, yes you do need to wash and detangle your hair before coming.

Extension hair is not provided! You need to bring your extension hair packs.

It can be tricky to determine how many packs of hair you’ll need for box braids/twists.

Ultimately, it will depend on the size and length of the braids/twists you want as well as the type and brand of synthetic hair you end up using.

On average, you may need as many as 4-9 packs of Kanekalon hair. If you’re using the X-Pression brand hair, you’ll probably need about 4-6 bags; as previously mentioned, they come in packs that are longer and fuller than your average bag of Kanekalon hair.

If you are getting short braids, you probably won’t need as much, but as a general rule of thumb, it’s always best to get more than you think you need, just to be on the safe side. You don’t want to run out of hair during the installation process. You can always save any unused hair for next time; you may even be able to return any unopened packages, depending on your vendor’s return policy.

Yes. 

Upon booking there is a £20 deposit required that goes toward the total of the service.

Your deposit is NOT an extra charge it is simply held on an account for you on your booking and taken off your final bill.

Please be aware that the only way you would ever LOSE your deposit is if you cancel your scheduled appointment within 24hrs, don’t show up for your appointment or are more than 30 minutes late for your scheduled appointment.

The £20 deposit fee must be paid to Monica’s bank account. All bank account details are emailed right after you make your appointment.

The deposit must be paid as soon as you finish making your reservation online. No more than 24 hours after booking.

You must arrive NO MORE than 30 minutes late to ensure you receive the full service you have booked in for and don’t lose your deposit fee.

If you are running late, please let us know by phone – we will do everything we can to accommodate you, however,
please keep in mind that we may have to reschedule your appointment, or may not have time to complete the whole service, in which case you will need to make another booking.

Yes. Some hairstyles can take long hours and you might get hungry and thirsty. So bring some snacks, water, entertainment such as books or tablets with you.
